NapTune ("we," "our," "us") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the NapTune mobile application.

By using NapTune, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the NapTune mobile application and related services provided by MEiApps. It applies worldwide and is intended to comply with major privacy laws, including:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU/EEA)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (California, USA)
  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (USA)
  • Other applicable international privacy laws

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

  • OAuth Sign-In: When you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive your display name, email address, and profile picture from the authentication provider.
  • Anonymous Usage: You may use NapTune anonymously through Firebase Anonymous Authentication without providing personal information.

3.2 Nap Session Data

  • Local Storage (Default): Your nap sessions, preferences, and sleep data are stored locally on your device by default and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Cloud Sync (Optional): If you enable the cloud sync feature, your session data will be stored in Firebase Firestore to allow synchronization across devices.

3.3 Usage Analytics

  • Firebase Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data to understand app performance, feature usage, and user behavior to improve the app experience.
  • Device Information: Such as device type, OS version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.

3.4 Notifications & Alarms

  • Push Notifications: If enabled, we may send you reminders and notifications related to your nap sessions.
  • Alarm Data: Alarm settings are stored locally on your device to wake you at the optimal time.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected data for:

  • Providing core features (nap timing, smart alarms, session tracking).
  • Enabling optional cloud synchronization of your session data across devices.
  • Processing one-time Lifetime Pro purchases.
  • Sending nap reminders and wake-up notifications when enabled.
  • Improving app performance, user experience, and troubleshooting issues.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage (Default): Nap sessions and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

Firebase Firestore (Optional): If you enable cloud sync, your session data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit.

Authentication: User authentication is handled securely through Firebase Authentication using OAuth providers (Google, Apple) or anonymous authentication.

Security: All communications with Firebase and third-party services use HTTPS encryption. Firebase security rules are implemented to restrict unauthorized access to your data.

6. Third-Party Services

NapTune integrates the following services, which may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase Authentication (OAuth and anonymous authentication)
  • Firebase Firestore (optional cloud sync for session data)
  • Firebase Analytics (app usage analytics)
  • RevenueCat (in-app purchase management and subscription tracking)
  • Apple/Google App Stores (payment processing)

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only shared with service providers necessary to operate NapTune (Firebase for authentication, analytics, and optional cloud sync).

8. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, including:

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.
  • Opt-out: Disable cloud sync at any time to keep all data local only.

9. Account Management

You can manage your data in the following ways:

  • Disable Cloud Sync: Turn off cloud sync in the app settings to keep all data local.
  • Delete Local Data: Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.
  • Delete Account: To request deletion of your account and cloud-stored data, email us at meeiapplications@gmail.com.

10. In-App Purchases

NapTune offers a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase. Purchase management is handled through RevenueCat, which tracks your purchase status and entitlements across devices. Payment processing is handled securely by Google Play Store or Apple App Store—we do not receive or store your payment information.

11. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately, and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted in-app and on our website with a new "Effective Date." Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
